Inspired by “Color Field Painting” movement, a style of abstract painting that emerged in New York City during the 1940s and 1950 (the definition is due to art critic Clement Greenberg), this net art project by Michael Demers treats the browser window as a canvas. Website visitor generates a series of windows, each with a randomly assigned color based upon parameters established for each piece. Creating an endless series of abstract digital paintings.
