“I’m please to present on “the internet” a new blog I started (actually its been up for half a year, I just haven’t written bout it yet),…..It’s called “Sorry I Haven’t Posted” and is a blog which re-posts posts of people apologizing for not posting to their blogs…aka “Inspiring Apologies From Today’s World Wide Web”. I sift through about 50 posts a day on my reader so I do tend to find some really interesting stuff…”

Chromophilia is an international art project focused on the role that colour plays in fashion. The name Chromophilia is adapted form David Batchelor’s book Chromophobia. This book is concerned with the fear of corruption or contamination through colour (chromophobia) and its modern and contemporary manifestations, as well as with resistance to it in art. Colour as an indicator of social mood, environment and culture, has significant commercial implications. Different colour palettes can be attributed to different socio-cultural areas and fashions styles. Colour trends are very recognizable and they fuse indelibly to areas, products and fashions.
The aim of the Chromophilia project is to make people aware of colour forecasting mechanisms while developing a whole new approach to colour in fashion.
Chromophilia blog is a shared space where the chromo-community can post and comment views on colour senses. It consists in collecting a complete documentation on the topic exploring different areas (colour in literature, in visual art, in design, etc.) and different approaches (physical, psychological, economic, social), creating a dialogue with people who are interested in this subject. To add any comment visitors just need to register to the chomo-community and login. The project is developed by an international team including Joanna Bodzek, Valentina Culatti, Giovanna Paternò di Sessa.

My Beating Blog, by Yury Gitman, is an attempt to take the journaling aspect of blogging into a surrealistic future in which the author literally and metaphorically bares his heart. For three weeks, a series of posts contextualizing heart-rate visualizations, GPS-maps, and personal journal entries will give online users a rare entrance into personal medical-grade statistics, stalker-level location tracking, and the private thoughts of the blogger.
Inevitably, issues regarding privacy, exhibitionism, and voyeurism playfully emerge as the blogosphere is infused with biofeedback and location technology. Rather than play into a dystopian or Orwellian future, blogs and biofeedback are given poetic license, reframing our awareness of our own and each others’ beating hearts.

My Beating Blog is a 2005 commission of New Radio and Performing Arts, Inc. for its Turbulence web site. It is supported by the Jerome Foundation in celebration of the Jerome Hill Centennial and in recognition of the valuable contributions of artists to society.

Stunned is proud to announce the opening of the 2006 Net Art Open. Now in it’s fourth edition the Net Art Open takes a different approach to the curation of Net Art online. Rather then present a single event based exhibition selected by a curator or panel of selectors the Net Art, Open is an ongoing blog based process which will unfold over the next six months. Curatorial bias has been removed by accepting all work which meets the criteria. The result is a true reflection of the state of Net Art now.
The emphasis in this edition will be bringing the exhibition to the audience, taking account of the changing way people access the net. With so much new work being produced all the time even with the best will in the world it’s difficult to keep up so the Net Art Open will be blogged one work at a time with RSS feeds for newsfeed readers and blog aggregators, each entry will be tagged for technorati and del.icio.us and a flickr pool will be created. In addition each entry will feature on the front page of Stunned.org.

The net art open was started in 2002 by Conor McGarrigle and Arthur X. Doyle as part of the Irish Museum of Modern Art.com intervention, subsequent editions were in 2003 and 2004-5.

The Dumpster was created by Golan Levin, Kamal Nigam and Jonathan Feinberg and made possible by support from the Whitney Artport, the Tate Online, and Intelliseek. Version 1.0 of the Dumpster was built in Processing and launched on Valentine’s day, 2006: an interactive online visualization that attempts to depict a slice through the romantic lives of American teenagers.
Using real postings extracted from millions of online blogs, visitors to the project can surf through tens of thousands of specific romantic relationships in which one person has “dumped” another. The project’s graphical tools reveal the astonishing similarities, unique differences, and underlying patterns of these failed relationships, providing both peculiarly analytic and sympathetically intimate perspectives onto the diversity of global romantic pain.
The Dumpster visualizes a fixed collection of 20,000 romantic breakups that occurred during 2005. These breakups were obtained from web logs (”blogs”) posted by people on the Internet. At least half of the authors of these breakups were American teenagers between the ages of 13 and 19.

Ideasonair is a web project serving artists. The site promotes artistic ideas in various fields. Artists, poets, architects, designers, critics, curators and ‘lovers of the trade’ who are short on ideas are invited to join. On this blog, the ideas “from hyperuranium” have landed and found a place, or better, a virtual factory. Ideasonair has a particular theory about ideas and how we perceive them.

[ITALIAN BELOW]

La prima lampadina si è accesa stamattina: The random trip-Kit of the imaginary traveller.
